I was reluctant to buy this rocking chair since it had no reviews. It was the best price for the look we wanted and took a chance. We were most pleasantly surprised. It is sturdy, well build and made out of a strong hardwood--my guess is oak. It was easy to assemble and I felt it necessary to share this with any rocker shoppers! Comfy large rocker with a nice finish and no creaks or squeaks! GREAT DEAL!

I received and assembled this chair yesterday. I feel it's a very good value for the price. Large and very sturdy, also finished well. Looks very attractive. I assembled it in the back hallway to avoid my two year old grandson's "help", and it took about an hour (I'm a small woman with a big brain), with a little help from my daughter-in-law(and a padded hammer)to push the parts into alignment at the end. We are all very happy with it!

I bought this chair for my shop. We have a whole row of rocking chairs at the back of our shop, on a concrete floor, for customers who are waiting for their kids or their spouse to take an archery class.This chair has tipped over backwards 3 different times with 3 different people in it.Twice it tipped over with adults, once a young person. One lady slid after falling backwards, and hit her head on the wall. Another lady hit her head on the floor.The one mad who tipped over in put his arms out to stop himself and as a result he was not hurt, but was upset and embarrassed. Naturally.The rockers themselves are just not long enough. The chair was put together properly. We checked it many times. At first we thought that people were rocking too hard.No other chair in our shop has ever turned over. We have about 20 rocking chairs. Only this black one has ever tipped people over.We took it apart and threw it in the dumpster after the 3rd person spilled out of it.All I need is for someone to get hurt in my shop.
