I have been looking for an "asian-inspired" living room set for a while now. Every time I found one I liked, the reviews on it would say how poorly it was constructed, whether it was particle board or veneer-sided. I was excited when I found this set, but I was skeptical because of the price. I ordered the cocktail table alone to see the quality and color of the table before ordering the rest of the set. When I received the delivery, I was happy to discover a box that was quite heavy. After opening the box and seeing the solid wood construction, I was even happier with my purchase. It was very easy to assemble, solid, and stable. I was happy with the dark finish that makes it look like a higher quality wood than pine. It is also not too dark, so you are still able to see the wood grain. My only complaints: 1) Like a previous reviewer, I found the angle of the legs to be a little strange, but it is definitely something I can get used to. 2) The rounded angle on the table top is also a little weird and makes it look like it is round or warped in the middle (but it is not - I used a level to check the entire surface). This is also something I can get used to and I think will look even better once I get a piece of glass cut to fit it. 3) The finish is a little inconsistent on the edges of the legs and especially on the pieces that attach (stick out from the legs). Because these pieces are so small, it is not really that noticeable once assembled and in a way makes the wood look more natural. Overall, I am very happy with this table and after receiving it, immediately ordered the matching 2 Target Marketing Systems Koreana End Table and Target Marketing Systems Koreana Sofa Table. I would definitely recommend this table to others who are looking for solid wood, "asian-inspired" tables that are reasonably priced.

This table just arrived and I will be sending it back. First of all because it arrived with a chip on it, but mostly because it is made of wood chips and not solid wood. It is cheap and looks cheap, would probably last a couple of years before it begins to look like rubbish. The picture looks better than what you receive.

We looked everywhere for a coffee table that was solid wood rather than veneer and didn't cost upwards of three to four hundred dollars. Luckily, the reviews on this one convinced me to go for it. Like others have mentioned, the color, quality, and construction on this table are good. We just received ours yesterday and had everything set up in a jiff - no trouble with any of the pre-drilled holes not lining up or missing hardware.My only complaints are that whatever sealant they used on it smells a bit strong. Even after sitting overnight, we still need to air out the room. Also, the tabletop had a couple of scratches on it despite the decent padding in the packaging.One last comment for future purchasers - when we opened this package, there appeared to be what seemed like fiberglass fibers clinging to the table. After getting one splintered into my hand, I decided to don a pair of gloves to prevent any further mishaps, but it still was a tad disconcerting to have the whole table coated in those fibers.
